Weekly Daycare Highlights

we’re ready to welcome our tiny guests too! We’ve been working on making our fence extra secure to keep the little ones safe, and now they have a fun and secure space to play.

Here’s a sneak peek of our spacious play yard where your pups will have plenty of room to run, play, and make new friends.

About us
Hi, I’m Edina, the heart behind Bark Harbor Doggy Daycare & Pet Sitting Services! Animals have always been a huge part of my life—I grew up surrounded by big dogs, small dogs, cats, parrots, and even a hamster. Since childhood, I’ve imagined a life filled with animals, and one day, I hope to make that dream a reality by having a small farm.
I started pet sitting five years ago, turning my passion for animals into something more. A year ago, I adopted Oliver, a shelter pup who completely changed my life. I’m currently training him as my psychiatric service dog, and through this journey, I’ve deepened my appreciation for the incredible bond between humans and dogs.
With a BA in Psychology, I’ve always been fascinated by how dogs uniquely understand and react to human emotions. They are our most honest, loyal, fun, and loving companions, always there when we need them most. While I love all animals, dogs hold a special place in my heart for their ability to connect with us on a deep emotional level.
At Bark Harbor, I bring my love, experience, and understanding of animal behavior to create a safe, fun, and loving environment for your pets while you're away. Whether it’s daycare or pet sitting, I treat every animal as if they were my own.
I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friends!
Edina
Leader of the pack

Oliver is not just my best friend and service dog in training—he’s also a rescue success story. A shelter mutt with the looks of a Black Lab, he has been my partner in building trust, structure, and connection as we navigate life together. The journey has had its challenges, but the emotional and physical growth has been incredibly rewarding.
Oliver is a goofball with a serious side—when he’s working, he’s focused and reliable, but when he’s off duty, he’s all about nature walks, squirrel watching, and snack time. Strangely enough, he might be the only Lab-looking dog who refuses to fetch—he prefers to chew up his ball instead.
With his friendly and playful nature, Oliver is a social star, winning over humans, pups, and even our two cats. He thrives on attention and love, making sure everyone around him feels his warmth. Whether he’s working or playing, he’s truly one of a kind—and the best boy I could ask for. 🖤🐾
